New York state is leading the way by recently announcing to launch the most progressive climate action plan in the US and one of the most ambitious in the world.

The program is targeting that the state is to produce 100% of its electricity from renewable sources by 2040 and reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 85% by 2050.
